The Production Support Supervisor is responsible for the indirect support areas across multiple shifts of our Immunoassay diagnostic instrument manufacturing that execute processes across all product lines in Hardware Manufacturing. Accountable for driving short, intermediate, and long-term business objectives. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to drive business results, DBS culture, and execute on strategic plans to achieve long-term objectives. This position reports to the Manager of Production Operations and is part of the Hardware Operations Leadership Team located in Chaska, MN, and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Manage direct reports' work requirements and performance. Provide timely feedback and guide them on performance/career, and professional development. Use standard work, daily management, and lean manufacturing principles to drive results in KPI’s of safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Drive action and solve problems; work with the team to build sustainable processes that deliver on KPI’s and on-going achievement of production plans. Foster continuous improvement by using DBS tools, kaizen, and Gemba evidence to generate ideas with the team for improvement to better meet customer needs and improve results. Set and deliver on goals for self that are challenging and aspirational within the scope of available resources to support growth targets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 8+ years’ experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience, OR Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience
  • Proven ability to lead production teams by defining measurable goals, implementing performance standards, and utilizing structured feedback systems to drive accountability and operational excellence.
  • Proven experience applying lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Gemba).
  • Knowledge of FDA, QSR, ISO, or GMP compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of building sustainable processes that deliver on production plans while setting and achieving challenging organizational goals.
  • Competence in data analysis for process improvement and KPI tracking.

Nice To Haves

  • Achieved CP in applicable DBS tool (SW, 5S, VRK, QSB, TPI)
  • Experience with application of continuous improvement/lean manufacturing
