About The Position

The Rocket Area Production Technologist reports to the Rocket Area Production Manager. This position provides leadership to the salary and hourly work force. Responsibilities include leading the production area to manufacture products to meet quality and delivery schedule requirements in a safe, environmentally compliant manner. The Production Technologist coordinates production and maintenance activities, helps manage labor allocation to meet direct and indirect budgets, production schedules, work loading requirements, and upholds plant policies in the production area. Coordinates with functional support groups to accomplish necessary tasks while supporting productions goals. Assists with directing the work activities of Group Leaders and hourly personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of production/manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Experience with personnel supervisory responsibilities.
• Thorough knowledge of production support activities including manufacturing process flow, quality, environmental, engineering, and purchasing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in chemical manufacturing processes.
• Previous experience with MAXIMO and Kronos.
• Experience in production scheduling and scheduling of PM's.
• Familiarity with handling and processing energetic materials.
