About the position
The Production Support Operations Lead D at L3Harris is responsible for assisting the production team in efficiently processing work according to a production plan while ensuring high-quality output. This role involves close collaboration with Operations Management, directing team members, and acting as a point of contact for production-related inquiries. The position emphasizes continual improvement and adherence to manufacturing standards and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Directly oversee team members and report to a supervisor.
- Monitor shift output and adjust team member assignments to meet daily output goals.
- Provide detailed instructions to team members and collaborate with supervisors and area engineers.
- Communicate goals and expectations clearly to team members.
- Relay information between team members and supervisors effectively.
- Follow established processes to complete tasks and handle routine matters.
- Escalate issues to supervisors as necessary.
- Work towards achieving operational targets that impact overall team results.
- Mentor lower-level peers and provide guidance on tasks as needed.
- Make recommendations for solutions based on judgment and initiative.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 8 years prior experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior experience.
- Ability to use inspection equipment.
- Ability to use data and SPC for decision making.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Lean and 5S methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
