Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship.
  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • ERP System experience - Costpoint, SAP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Perform production support functions involved with coordinating the release of products and materials to the production floor in conjunction with production planners.
  • Prepare the proper documentation in coordination with the production schedule.
  • Update production status tools (i.e. Capability Models, Gemba boards, etc.).
  • Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
  • Input to management on potential shortages, production problems, documentation concerns, and anything else that may impact the meeting of the production schedule.
  • Support, prepare, and closeout all documentation required to execute within the production process.
  • Prepare production kits of the material needed to complete a production work order.
  • Work within the company's ERP system to electronically enter production requirements, create production work orders, issue raw material to the production orders, and execute the production order closeout process.
  • Support the planning and movement of the material supply necessary to maintain the production schedule.
  • Maintain effective communications with applicable company personnel and functions that review and define schedule compliance as defined by the customer.
  • Provide guidance associated with material and product movement within the manufacturing process.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements and new procedures.
  • Support individual contributors who work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Communicate with contacts within and outside the department on matters that involve explaining assignments, solving problems, and initiating process improvements.
  • Promote cordial relationships and foster and maintain a favorable business profile with customers, suppliers, co-workers, industry and professional associations, government agencies, and the local community.
