About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes to ensure that all safety, environmental, and quality policies are understood and adhered to by all employees and contractors. This role involves determining product quality, establishing housekeeping standards, and planning operations to produce high-quality products according to customer commitments. The supervisor will maximize yields at the lowest cost while reviewing production reports to resolve operational issues and prevent delays. Additionally, the supervisor will develop and revise operational practices, train department personnel, and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions. Ensuring that facilities and equipment are maintained for safe and cost-effective production is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate minimum; AS or BS in Engineering preferred.
  • 5 years of front line supervisory experience in a line manufacturing role.
  • Experience with stainless steel and specialty alloys is desirable.
  • Understanding of basic machinery such as forklifts, bandsaws, and straightening machines.

  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality policies by all employees and contractors.
  • Determine product quality and decide on the proper disposition of material.
  • Establish and enforce high standards of housekeeping.
  • Plan and operate manufacturing processes to produce quality products according to schedules.
  • Maximize yields at the lowest cost while adhering to quality standards.
  • Review production reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems.
  • Develop and revise standard operational practices to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Train department personnel and initiate personnel actions such as promotions and disciplinary measures.
  • Perform root cause analysis to determine failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain facilities, equipment, and control systems for safe and cost-effective production.
