About The Position

The position involves directly supervising and coordinating the activities of production workers. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who can manage and inspire others by making decisions and standing behind them.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management or other relevant program preferred
• 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Production and processing knowledge
• Mechanical tool knowledge
• Critical thinking skills
• Problem solving skills
• Written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily workflows, sets priorities, communicates expectations/goals with each employee
• Participates in training new employees, promoting company policies and philosophies
• Assists in troubleshooting issues related to shop drawings, or machine and material problems
• Evaluate current systems and procedures to continuously improve, i.e. work simplification
• Evaluate merit reviews for department employees
• Conduct meetings to give direction and resolve problems
• Collaborates with other supervisors, managers, and engineering staff to improve processes, flow, productivity
• Assure conformance with company quality and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
