About The Position

The Production Supervisor at Johns Manville is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a production team within a manufacturing environment. Requirements

• High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processes.
• Strong aptitude for learning and understanding company policies.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and provide direction to the production team.
• Plan and schedule the utilization of equipment to maintain maximum productivity levels.
• Investigate root causes of scrap, process excursions, quality complaints, and fire investigations.
• Ensure the production team complies with safety, environmental, quality, and process control standards.
• Utilize key operating indicators to control product costs, material usage, and machine downtime.
• Accurately submit hours worked for all production employees in a timely manner.
• Transmit production performance statistics and concerns to relevant departments and make recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare labor, material, and equipment usage reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
