The Production Supervisor supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the construction of factory-built housing within a manufacturing plant. This role involves examining blueprints to determine dimensions of structures, studying production schedules, and assigning employees as required to meet those schedules. The supervisor interprets company policies to workers, enforces safety regulations, and establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production goals. Additionally, the supervisor recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, while also suggesting changes in working conditions to increase efficiency. The role includes analyzing and resolving work problems, motivating workers to achieve goals, calculating time card totals, estimating and requisitioning materials, and setting up machines and equipment.
