About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing assigned personnel to ensure optimal performance on the production line. This role involves leading through effective goal setting, communication, and coaching, as well as assisting with personnel decisions such as hiring, corrective actions, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions. The supervisor must motivate and challenge personnel positively while maintaining expert knowledge of all positions on the assigned production line(s). The position requires monitoring and supervising all aspects of the production line, ensuring compliance with safety rules and GMP standards, and maintaining an open dialogue with the team. The supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that production quality meets customer specifications and that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of all safety rules and monitors personnel to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Experience in managing production teams and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Leads through effective goal setting, communication, and coaching.
  • Assists with personnel decisions including hiring, corrective actions, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.
  • Motivates, corrects, and challenges personnel with a positive approach.
  • Maintains expert knowledge for all positions on assigned production line(s).
  • Monitors and supervises all aspects of assigned production line(s).
  • Ensures work standards are implemented and followed.
  • Ensures lead associates provide work teams the tools and supplies needed to accomplish standard work.
  • Ensures preventative maintenance is performed on machines.
  • Assists in production scheduling to improve production leveling.
  • Ensures compliance with all company safety rules and GMP's.
  • Assumes responsibility for production quality and continuous improvement.
  • Communicates problems with Quality Assurance Manager, Production Manager, and Plant Manager as needed.
  • Ensures all administrative tasks are completed timely and accurately.
