Job Summary The Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift is responsible for leading and overseeing production employees during the overnight shift, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety and organizational standards. This role requires a confident, hands-on leader who can manage workflows, make real-time decisions, and maintain momentum during off-hours with limited onsite support.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience (highly preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior manufacturing experience required; machining environment strongly preferred
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and mechanical concepts
• Proven ability to lead teams independently during overnight operations
• Strong leadership, coaching, and accountability skills
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a high-paced manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Epicor ERP is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and manage production employees during the 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Oversee overnight production workflow, staffing, and job assignments
• Serve as the primary point of leadership during off-hours operations
• Collaborate with managers and supervisors to ensure continuity across shifts
• Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met and address defects as needed
• Identify and resolve issues related to processes, materials, equipment, or employee skill gaps
• Maintain compliance with safety, health, and organizational policies and regulations
• Train and manage staff in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements
• Ensure equipment is safe, operational, and issues are escalated appropriately
• Complete and verify production documentation and reports accurately
• Coach employees to improve performance, skills, and consistency
• Perform other duties as assigned
