Production Supervisor - Afternoon Shift
About The Position
Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier 1 supplier of Acoustic and Thermal Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking for a strong and motivated individual to fill the position of Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift (M-F 3PM-11PM) at the Manufacturing Facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading, managing and maintaining the assigned manufacturing lines and processes on the Production Floor to meet customer product requirements. This includes OSHA Safety Procedures, organizing work assignments, checking procedures and equipment to ensure conformance to standardized work, engineering instructions and compliance with established maintenance, IATF16949 and APPS standards, meeting production schedules, and optimizing plant resources.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a production supervisor for a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
- Ability to lead, coach and communicate well in a changing environment to build a strong team and meet customer needs.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associates degree related to an area of study within manufacturing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing personnel (less than 10 employees) and projects within his/her department.
- Knowledge of all functions from raw materials to finished goods, to include equipment and machinery.
- Responsible for proper use and care of equipment, requesting repair or replacement when necessary.
- Organizing and providing training to employees for their work assignments.
- Assists in solving problems to employees on the floor while working.
- Required to work overtime when necessary.
- Ensure proper quality checks are performed.

- Salary range between 70K - 75K. Specific salary is commensurate with experience and factors such as relevant experience, education, certifications and licenses, skills, and training.
