About The Position

We are hiring a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for all departmental production activities including formulation, in-process testing, filling and labeling/packaging, documentation, housekeeping and production logs, scheduling and component inventory control. They will coordinate with planning and materials management to ensure all products are manufactured on time to meet quality, customer, and market requirements. Requirements

  • B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or related field, or 5-7 years of equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 (five) years of direct personnel leadership position.
  • Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in biological, chemical or pharmaceutical industry
  • Working experience with computers, Microsoft Office, Outlook and ERP systems.
  • Related science background.
  • Formulation, compounding, or related manufacturing exposure.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing build commitments.
  • Create, review or revise production schedules as needed.
  • Oversee Manufacturing personnel to hold accountability and mentor individuals.
  • Training and supervision of all department personnel.
  • Institutionalize and actively manage the Skills Matrix and onboarding plans (or similar tools) to ensure effective training and cross-training within 30/60/90 days for all new hires and existing employees
  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement projects to align manufacturing processes and improve efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Champion quality initiatives to achieve a "Right the First Time" rate to minimize rework and scrap.
  • Review of new and completed lot folders per current company policy and regulations.to deliver product to customer on time and in full (OTIF).
  • Creation and implementation of manufacturing protocols as needed.
  • Collaborating with support departments to optimize process and/or increase efficiency.
  • Maintenance of area and equipment.
  • Verify respective areas are maintained in accordance with specifications.
  • Logging actions per SOP and enforcing ‘audit readiness’ at all times.
  • Make recommendations for the improvement of any procedures or processes that will result in better efficiency, cost reduction, employee safety and/or improved product quality.
  • Proposes, writes, and reviews departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Receives, reviews, responds and performs corrective / preventive actions in dealing with customer complaints, NONCs, CAPA and internal audits.
  • Lead and participate in safety committee meetings to sustain a strong culture of safety and compliance.
  • Proactively promote workplace safety and supporting zero-injury initiatives.
  • Ensure departmental training is completed timely, achieving greater than 95% training timeliness to support workforce competency and regulatory requirements.
