About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Production Supervisor – 1 st Shift to join our team in Trumann, AR . Summary: The primary focus of the Production Supervisor is responsible for the direction and motivation of his/her employees to achieve department goals of Safety, Quality, and Production, etc. to stimulate and lead employees in continuous improvement. Identify and address safety issues. Manage, coordinate, and execute production schedule. Accident investigation and documentation. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Working effectively with other peers, subordinates, and all levels of management to achieve objectives and promote teamwork. Ensures staff is properly trained. Continuously look for improvements and elimination of all waste. Address quality issues, ensure product meets quality standards through the manufacturing process. Counsel, motivate, and instruct departmental personnel in machine/tool operation. Address employee concerns and morale problems by providing feedback to department personnel through daily interactions and yearly performance appraisals; promote teamwork Identify, analyze, and act to correct bottlenecks, product defect rates, safety hazards, and maintenance problems. Must understand 5s system and be able to train others in this area. Identify quality and production issues with suggestions for resolution. Requirements

  • 5 -7 years of manufacturing and at least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Skills
  • 1 st Shift---Start time is between 5am or 6:30am (Work Hours/Works Days are subject to change based on business needs)
  • The salary range for this position is $63,000 to $94,000 commensurate with experience w/ bonus potential.
