About The Position

The production supervisor will be responsible for meeting all production goals set for the department. This position will also be responsible for setting the training plan and review for any new associate to the company or to a specific position in the manufacturing area.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and AS400 Manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and track production metrics for the department
  • Perform a needs assessment upon review of all associates skills and 3 associate coverage
  • Work with trainer to develop a plan to improve skills of associates
  • Maintain a succession plan to cover each position in the department
  • Mentor and develop associates
  • Review work instructions and procedures for accuracy
  • Accurately track KPI’s in the SQDCP database (efficiency, build to schedule, scrap, absenteeism, quality)
  • Review workload to headcount and adjust as necessary
  • Provide daily feedback to team
  • Create and implement corrective actions based on KPI results
  • Maintain a positive outlook and a can-do attitude
  • Maintain timecards
  • Plan coverage for associates with time off
  • Ensure team is following all safety protocols
  • Enforce company policy and standards
  • Maintain 5S in department
