Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor that is responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves managing a team of production workers, ensuring product quality, and meeting production targets while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with production scheduling software and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in manufacturing.
  • Regularly required to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Routinely operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in print
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Experience with environmental and safety regulations

Responsibilities

  • Practice the Taylor Core Values
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust priorities priority and personnel as needed to meet targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Quality Control, Maintenance) to address issues and optimize production flow.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports for management review.
  • Implement and monitor production metrics to drive performance improvements.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts within the team.
  • Attend Scheduling meetings and proactively report out on delivery
  • Inform the Manager of jobs in jeopardy of missing a due date.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering to resolve equipment issues.
  • Coordinate a training program that successfully elevates employee capability and performance.
  • Manages the daily productivity against the production schedule and quickly resolves performance issues.
