We are seeking to add an experienced Production Supervisor for our facility in Orangeburg, SC area to oversee and direct our production team members. You will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities in our manufacturing facilities including but not limited to employee safety, product quality, housekeeping, 5S, production efficiencies, machine uptime, waste, planning and scheduling, and timekeeping. This role will serve as a member of our leadership team reporting to the Production Manager, requiring discretion and independent judgement. They will participate and have access to confidential information in addition to considering, comparing, and evaluating data and processes, and recommending different courses of action as it relates to production.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the blown-film manufacturing industry.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; demonstrated experience in leading, training, mentoring, and/or developing other team members is required.
  • Detail-orientation required for completing required paperwork and information system’s inputs with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to read and understand job tickets and provide verbal direction to successfully complete procedures and required tasks.
  • Capable of performing mathematical calculations, and properly using tape measures and micrometers.
  • Flexibility in work assignments and priorities is required to address the dynamic needs of our customers and shifts in production requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required, and proven experience with effective teams and continuous improvement methods strongly preferred.
  • Familiar with and Understand Safety requirements under OSHA 19.10 and 19.26
  • Excellent task prioritization, communication and management skills.
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, work order systems, ERP systems & spreadsheets.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year college degree preferred, but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude/experience is highly preferred.
