Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
Highly motivated and Metrics/KPI Data driven
Must be able to work in noisy environments
Must be able to work extended hours when required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required
Ability to bend, stoop, walk, twist, lift, stand, push and pull material
Strong time management and priorities management skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office.
BPCS experience a plus.
Bachelor's Degree preferred
2-5 years in previous manufacturing leadership role
5-10 years of manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime.
Establish production schedule for batching and casting side of production to meet customer and shipping deadlines
Work closely with Secondaries Supervisor and Shipping to prioritize work flow through all departments and ensure shipping deadlines are met
Strive to increase productivity across all product lines.
Maintain and help enhance all aspects around Corporate and Plant Safety policies and programs.
Continue to improve leadership abilities in or to increase subordinate’s skills and capabilities.
Responsible for training, process improvements, KPI reporting, employee relations within casting departments
Participate in all cross functional team activities including but not limited to Safety, Process Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, Maintenance, Management, and Monthly Ops review.
Engage in and promote participation in Safety Awareness, VCP’s, Process Mapping, Kaizens, and Recognition to lead a culture changing with a winning attitude and greater acceptance around change.
Work with Production Manager to create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.
Responsible for yearly vacation scheduling of Manufacturing Hourly employees.
Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
