About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate activities of workers engaged in packaging, blending, and pulverizing of products and materials for storage and shipment. Fulfills management and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, applicable laws, and regulations. Areas of Responsibility / TasksPerformance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below. Leadership: Interviewing employees Review schedules to plan, assign, and direct work for employees and equipment Generate and conduct yearly employee evaluations Reward and discipline employees Review and approve timesheets and PTO requests Addressing complaints and resolving problems Performs activities of workers supervised Ensures accuracy and completeness of departmental activities and documents Inspects products prior to packaging Other duties as assigned by Senior Management. Quality Management: Follow all ISO requirements; this includes but is not limited to being held responsible for completion of ‘CAR’ reports and submitting processing information when problem issues occur with damaged product, lost product, or other issues.Ensure all ISO documentation is current and adhered to Assist quality department with all necessary document revisions Investigator for CAR and all associated duties Health, Safety, & Environmental Compliance: Assist with facility Operation Clean Sweep compliance Maintain reports of product loss and environmental exposure Maintain reports of product and property damage Ensure all LOTO forms, vehicle checks, and PIT checks are performed and properly utilized Manage cleanliness of department Training: Perform and record training of all direct associates either directly or via designee. Ensure proper development of all associates is being recorded or reported. Inventory Strategy (Replenishment): Manage warehouse optimization through movements and consolidation. Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations. Perform package supply counts at intervals determined by the Operations Manager. Communication: Keep management abreast of significant issues or developments that impact quality, safety, health, environmental, operational, and inventory management. Prepare and present statistical information to the management team (including but not limited to Near-Miss, Audit Nonconformance, Elements of Risk, Departmental KPI’s, etc.) Enforces facility policies and goals Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity and operating reports to determine changes in programs or operations required. Maintain record of all inbound and outbound shipments. Interface with other departments to ensure deadlines are achieved Recommends measures to improve production methods and equipment performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree – preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a similar role, including people management; responsibility to include the following:
  • Staff planning; decision-making; facilitating process improvement; taking responsibility for subordinates’ activities; provides regular performance feedback; continually works to improve supervisory skills.
  • Treats people with respect; works with integrity and upholds organizational values.
  • Results oriented with solid communication skills (written, electronic communication, and verbal).
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of developing project plans and communicating changes and progress.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality within the facility.
  • Uses quality system to assist with Quality Management initiatives.
  • Observes safety and security procedures.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
