Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry or other Physical Sciences degree OR High school diploma or GED and 3 years industrial experience required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • FDA regulated experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Plant Safety Performance
  • Champion safety committee
  • Own area’s workplace exam log
  • Plant Quality Performance
  • Foster team, culture, and ownership of plant metric performance
  • Manage performance of self-direct crews
  • Manage conflict directly and effectively
  • Manage individual and team training
  • Manage, develop, and train on problem solving capabilities on an individual and team basis
  • Manage daily maintenance plant activities and work management process
  • Ensure environmental compliance
  • Support Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory compliance
  • Daily plant tours
  • Support railcar and packaging planning
  • Oversee and ensure accountability over Operator Qualification and Training
  • Compile and implement crew training, meetings, and audits
  • Identify best practices and implement within plant
  • Communicate reasons for success when production targets are achieved and provide solutions when there are performance deviations
  • Coordinate with maintenance regarding equipment availability, equipment isolations, and quality of work through work management process
  • Monitor equipment and initiate work requests through the work management system
  • Oversee operational efficiency and rates
  • Assist crew in monitoring process samples
  • Answer grievances and perform administrative tasks (Time cards, OT, vacation approval)
  • Oversee short interval controls
  • Off-shift coordination and BPS on call duties
  • Ensure compliance with product specific regulatory and customer requirements
