About The Position

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Live Receiving Supervisor to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll oversee critical operations such as live hang , drawer loading/unloading, forklift driving, and shuttle drivers . This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, animal welfare, sanitation, budgeting, and productivity while driving continuous improvement through data analysis and process coordination. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
  • Class A CDL preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Valid Pilgrim’s Pallet jack license or ability to obtain license within 30 days .
  • 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred.
  • Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, ability to manage multiple priorities , good math skills and basic mechanical knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads hiring, coaching, and motivation of team members to maximize quality and productivity.
  • Encourages team member involvement through meetings, safety teams, audits, and problem-solving.
  • Oversees daily department operations and drives process improvements.
  • Coordinates live bird handling activities, including unloading, drawer movement, and live hang, ensuring humane treatment and compliance with animal welfare standards.
  • Oversees equipment and crew rotation within live receiving tasks (e.g., forklift operation, finishing machine support) to maintain workflow efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Promotes open communication and supports a positive work environment.
  • Manages scheduling of people, materials, and equipment to meet production needs.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and ensures consistent feedback across the team.
  • Maintains high standards in safety, yield, efficiency, and quality while supporting departmental goals and budgets.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Plant Operations Team
