About The Position

The Production Supervisor will have the responsibility of planning, monitoring, supervising, and insuring the cost-effective high-quality product(s) delivered by QRC’s manufacturing team. As such, candidate will be engaged in all facets of the manufacturing functions. Responsibilities of this position include supervising personnel, creating floor schedule, managing work orders, striving for constant organizational improvement, production inspections, and a variety of other tasks.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have at least 2 years of Direct Manufacturing Supervision experience and 7 years of manufacturing shop floor experience.
  • Candidate must have ERP/MRP experience and be comfortable using information systems to manage production flow.
  • The candidate must have practical experience reading and understanding schematics and cable assemblies.
  • The Production Supervisor must be process minded, working with Quality and other groups to ensure, document, enforce, and improve ISO9001 level controls within the production team.
  • Candidate must have good communication skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain security clearance when sponsored by QRC.

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candadite will be familiar with some or all of the following: IPC-610 VM Standards, J-STD-01, SMT and Wire soldering.
  • Ideal candidate should have previous experience using production tools such as soldering iron, rework station, hand tools etc.
  • Ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate skills in training and mentoring team members.
  • Lean certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the Production Process including but not limited to ensuring Efficient Operation of a light assembly and test production operation, Product Scheduling, Resource (people and material) Management, maintaining a High Quality Output in a Safe Work environment.
  • Responsible for assisting in creating, updating and reviewing Work Instructions, Schematics and Mechanical Drawings.
  • Accurately track and record metrics, troubleshoot and resolve problems to ensure minimum costs, achievement of the delivery schedule and quality.
  • Analyze data drawn from production reports to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and to reduce quality defects.
  • Communicate, implement and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example, motivate employees and be a positive source of influence. This includes being willing and able to build and test product side by side with the team.
  • Assist and guide training of new employee’s.
  • Work with Leadership and Materials to assure the right materials are at the right place at the right time.
  • Ensure the product quality standards are met through inspections and material testing procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
