Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
7+ years managing a team or shift.
3-6 years with related technical experience.
Technical experience in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment.
Knowledge of production and processing and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacturing of products.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and six sigma techniques.
Interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead and train others.
Problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise the safe operation of all production processes.
Continually monitors area and solicits feedback from associates.
Enforce all safety rules and regulations.
Supervise team members.
Ensures effective employee relations.
Resolves issues through problem resolution. Confers with management to resolve complex associate issues.
Interviews, selects, orients, trains, conduct performance appraisals, performance development, schedules and approves hours.
Provides leadership for associate relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
Executes operational plan to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout assigned production department(s).
Work with other functional areas to implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve quality, cost, on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, associate satisfaction.
Maintains production plan.
Ensures compliance with the organization standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, on-time delivery.
Provide training and support need to the team, set goals and objectives.
Measure team performance for safety, quality, delivery and cost. Work with team to continually improve these measures.
Other duties as assigned.
