About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading frontline manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. This role oversees daily execution of production plans, manages and develops team members, enforces operational standards, and partners cross‑functionally to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. The supervisor monitors key performance metrics, allocates resources effectively, and maintains strong process discipline to achieve targets in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and inventory accuracy. Through active leadership on the shop floor, the Production Supervisor ensures a high‑performing, engaged workforce and supports the overall success of plant operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution OR 5+ years of experience supporting Manufacturing, Operations, or Technical processes.
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience managing people or project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employees follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S‑compliant work area.
  • Identify, correct, and escalate safety risks immediately.
  • Set clear daily priorities and communicate production expectations to the team.
  • Manage daily line/machine assignments and ensure proper staffing based on work requirements.
  • Monitor production flow continuously and ensure real‑time accuracy of production data.
  • Ensure hour‑by‑hour boards, interrupter tracking, and escalation routines are completed.
  • Run an effective Tier 2 meeting using data to identify issues and drive resolution.
  • Monitor product quality and enforce adherence to standard work and quality procedures.
  • Quickly address production or quality interrupters, performing RCCA on recurring trends.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation, inspection standards, and process controls.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and daily feedback to team members.
  • Manage attendance, vacation planning, and labor allocation.
  • Build team capability through structured cross‑training and skill assessments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional conduct.
  • Demonstrate managerial courage by addressing policy/process violations promptly.
  • Track and react to performance metrics aligned to SIOP and High‑5 KPIs.
  • Use Gemba walks, tiered management, and data to drive productivity improvements.
  • Lead and support CI initiatives aimed at reducing waste and improving throughput.
  • Optimize scheduling, sequencing, and labor deployment based on product mix.
  • Support OPEX practices and use operational tools to improve processes.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and other teams to remove barriers.
  • Communicate risks, resource needs, and escalations promptly to leadership.
  • Support order scheduling and ensure clarity of job packets and work instructions.
