About The Position

The Production Supervisor coordinates and supervises the activities of the Production Team. Ensures safe production of quality products to meet customer needs in the most cost-effective manner. Promotes both food and personal safety. May occasionally lead, make decisions and collaborate with departments that support production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • BA degree strongly desired or equivalent experience required.
  • Two (2) years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing required. Food manufacturing is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers required. Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be mature and have the ability to resolve issues in a timely, organized and cost-efficient manner.
  • Proactive, self-directed independent worker with self-confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive safety as a core value through training, equipment and job design, work assignments and regulatory compliance.
  • Assures that all product produced meets the product specifications, food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish high performance standards in housekeeping, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Institute of Baking (AIB), International Food Standard (IFS) BRCGS Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards (BRCGS) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements.
  • Manages daily production requirements to consistently meet customer expectations.
  • Evaluate team performance efficiencies and coordinates necessary resources.
  • Coaches, teaches and coordinates and evaluates programs for team members to develop skills advantageous to the companies needs and goals.
  • Able to manage some initial employee relation matters and conflict
  • Participates as a key member of the plant leadership.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Adhere to the Food Defense and Security functions within the facility.
