A production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all functions regarding production planning, production equipment, directing and training production operators, ensuring schedules are followed and standards are met. This position will require about 60% of time spent on the production floor to solve issues, build a strong team, and verify process control points to promote a safe, positive, and collaborative culture.

  • Lead and supervise the production team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily production schedules to meet production targets, customer demands, and quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes, including equipment performance, raw material usage, and product quality, to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Maintenance, to resolve production issues, optimize processes, and implement new initiatives.
  • Monitor and control production costs, such as labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to maintain consistency and efficiency in production processes.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, effective communication, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.
  • Prepare/update material handling & sanitation procedures. Help ensure that good housekeeping procedures are followed.
  • Working on the production floor to ensure consistent ongoing communication, problem solving, and performing hourly checks to ensure product integrity.
  • Create, update, & close work orders in ERP system.
  • Other duties and special projects when as required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
  • Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
  • Perform other projects / duties as assigned.
  • Maintain good attendance.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
  • Degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Operations Management) or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving efficiency and process improvement.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
