Production Supervisor - Fabrication 2nd Shift
About The Position
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and oversee operations of our Fabrication & Welding processes on 2nd Shift. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. The Production Supervisor will manage day-to-day activities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support team development while meeting financial and performance goals. Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role and 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Associate Degree in Production Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 14001-2015 standards.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce all safety policies and practices. Drive participation in safety programs, observations, and reporting.
- Staffing & Capacity Management: Maintain a flexible, cross-trained workforce to meet production demands. Oversee training plans and progress.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives using lean tools such as 5S, standard work, mistake-proofing, and kaizen to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Team Development & Coaching: Ensure team members have essential skills and provide coaching to foster growth and engagement.
- Financial Management: Monitor labor, material variances, factory burden, and overtime. Support budgeting and capital expenditure planning.
- Supervisor Standard Work: Conduct daily huddles, coordinate production schedules, audit labor reporting, approve payroll, and maintain performance boards.
