About The Position

The Manufacturing Supervisor on SECOND SHIFT (2:30 PM – 12:00 AM) will lead multiple manufacturing disciplines at Lockheed Martin Space in King of Prussia, PA. This role is responsible for ensuring quality, schedule, and cost goals are met across multiple programs, while driving process improvements and fostering an accountable, high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience, formal or informal, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints, and translate instructions for mechanics or technicians.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience leading teams and implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
  • Experience motivating teams, including in unionized settings.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, cost reduction strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Experience using SAP software.
  • Familiarity with IPC (Institute for Printed Circuits) standards, ISO 9000, and I40001 audit readiness.
  • Data analysis skills to guide continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Understanding of chemical processes and printed wiring board fabrication or related fields.
  • Conflict resolution skills and the ability to build respectful, collaborative relationships.
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste management, workplace safety, training, foreign object debris (FOD) prevention, and time accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple manufacturing disciplines and coordinate daily operations in an integrated team environment.
  • Collaborate with Production Control, Production Engineering, Quality, Design Engineering, and other support functions.
  • Lead cross-functional production meetings to align teams and drive performance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives aimed at achieving operational targets, including “target zero” metrics.
  • Inspire, motivate, and hold team members accountable for performance, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, work assignments, compensation, recognition, and disciplinary actions within the team.
