About The Position

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Production Supervisor to join our Operations dream team and help us drive Operational Excellence throughout our plants. THE ROLE Follow safety procedures and Company policies for equipment operation. Promote positive safety behavior with the team. Identify, correct and report unsafe conditions. Supervise the manufacture of products to verify conformance to specifications. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed correctly. Organize and coordinate the workflow in the department during the shift. Participate in Operational Excellence improvements to enhance operational efficiency, quality, behaviors, and safety. Develop and lead a high performing team: Utilize Tier Management to establish clear expectations, monitor factory performance and implement countermeasures. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Be the cheerleader for your team and the Comar business, driving a positive culture of integrity and excellence. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Experience leading people
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems i.e. IQMS, SAP, etc.
  • Plastic injection molding or other light-industrial experience?
  • Medical experience in an ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environment?
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals?
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence?
  • Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization?
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent?
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form?

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2 - year Technical Degree
  • Lean-Sigma belt (Green Belt/Black Belt)
  • Experience leading in an Injection Molding environment
  • Ability to read basic blueprints
