About The Position

A confidential defense manufacturing operation is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee high-mix, low-volume manufacturing teams in a precision aerospace and defense environment. This hands-on leadership role drives daily production performance, ensures regulatory compliance, and champions a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing production environment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Active VantageClear credential, recognized equivalent, or active U.S. Security Clearance (required).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with lean tools, continuous improvement, and project management.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, production planning, and supply chain operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Knowledge of California labor and compliance standards.
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a manufacturing team to meet operational and delivery targets.
  • Oversee production activities, establish priorities, and ensure adherence to schedules, cost, and quality standards.
  • Develop and coach team members; support hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce variation.
  • Coordinate manufacturing with procurement, maintenance, and quality functions for optimal resource utilization.
  • Ensure all Environmental, Health & Safety procedures are followed daily.
  • Review and analyze production data, address performance gaps, and resolve operational issues.
  • Support new product introduction by collaborating with engineering on manufacturability and testability.
