About The Position

The 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the team of 2nd shift employees and ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of products, parts, or components.

Requirements

Experience managing teams, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents including production drawings.
Strong leadership and management skills are essential to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions, report issues, and collaborate with other departments.
The ability to identify and address issues, make decisions under pressure, and implement solutions is crucial.
Basic Computer skills using applications such as email Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Secondary education or training in manufacturing and continuous improvement are desirable.
Experience in welding is desirable

Responsibilities

Help ensure employees safely conduct themselves and safety measures are being complied with.
Supervise and lead a team of employees during the second shift.
Facilitate daily team startup meetings and safety meetings.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members to ensure they meet their performance goals.
Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the second shift.
Ensure that all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the shift.
Monitor product or service quality to ensure it meets company and customer expectations.
Communicate with management on issues and production requirements through conversations, phone, or email.
Help support activities related to Quality and Manufacturing Engineering
Help lead continuous improvement activities on 2nd Shift.
