About The Position

The Production Supervisor leads a team of skilled manufacturing professionals to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality products while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Your role: You will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring quality is fully integrated into workflows and that all activities comply with safety, regulatory, environmental, and company requirements. You will take ownership of safety within your work area and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will coordinate the planning and execution of one or more production processes to deliver products and services on time and within quality standards, whether produced in-house or outsourced. You will prioritize work sequences, allocate resources effectively, and manage production schedules to meet business objectives. You will proactively identify potential production capacity bottlenecks and manage external specialized production capacity when required to maintain smooth operations. You will support strategic planning of equipment layout, material flow optimization, and related investment planning initiatives. You will drive efficiency and effectiveness by initiating process improvements, identifying new methods of organizing work, and adapting plans to evolving operational demands. You will recognize issues, analyze gaps in information, evaluate alternative solutions, and escalate concerns appropriately. You will manage and mentor a skilled workforce, contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation discussions, career development, and overall team engagement to support organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Previously managed a production or manufacturing team (people leader role), with direct responsibility for supervising operators/technicians, driving daily output, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Skills include production scheduling, workforce planning, workflow optimization, performance management, root cause analysis, continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean principles), quality integration into manufacturing processes, and safety and regulatory compliance.
  • High School Diploma or Vocational Education
  • Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position
  • Hands-on, accountable leader with strong communication and coaching skills, capable of motivating teams, addressing performance gaps, and adapting to changing production priorities while maintaining a safe and high-performing work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing capacity planning, equipment layout optimization, or outsourced production is considered a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field is preferred.
