Why this role This is a hands-on leadership role for a supervisor who can raise standards, build team accountability, and deliver safe, high-quality output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll be trusted to run the floor, develop operators, and drive measurable performance improvements. What you’ll own • Lead daily shift operations to hit safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets. • Drive OEE performance (target 85%+) through disciplined floor execution, escalation, and follow-through. • Set clear expectations for operators and ensure adherence to standard work, PPE, and plant rules. • Coach and develop team members through active floor presence, feedback, and documented performance management. • Partner with HR on attendance, corrective action, and progressive discipline in alignment with policy/CBA. • Review/approve timecards and PTO requests accurately and on time. • Ensure end-of-shift housekeeping and line readiness for the next shift. • Support continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives using lean methods. • Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and internal procedures. What success looks like in the first 6–12 months • Consistent achievement of production plan and labor efficiency targets. • Improved attendance reliability and reduced repeat corrective actions. • Demonstrable gains in OEE, scrap reduction, and shift-to-shift handoff quality. • Stronger operator capability through structured coaching and cross-training.
