Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. 2nd Shift role times vary by value stream: Main: 3:00PM - 11:00PM Data Solutions: 3:30PM - 11:30 PM Steel Services: 2:00PM - 10:00PM WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Directly lead production employees, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance. Look after day-to-day production activities to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made. Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily. Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology. Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs. Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed. Support new process and product development and implementation. Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Ideally 3 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience preferred
  • Ideally 2+ years of experience in Lean manufacturing, with a strong ability to articulate and apply Lean concepts and methodologies.
