About The Position

The purpose of the Production Supervisor role is to oversee the production of the designated department and shift and the supervise, lead, and coach the employees on that shift. The Production Supervisor is the first-line supervisor and responsible for the performance of the employees and the quality of the production on the assigned shift.

Requirements

  • Must possess process troubleshooting skills to respond to and drive performance/people development
  • Must have a good working knowledge of production processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Must be a hands-on leader with strong writing and verbal communication skills and possess good communication/interpersonal skills and get along well with others
  • Must be able to read production schedule compliance
  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Must adhere to all safety guidelines and foster a safe work culture
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to critical think and problem solve with relation to mechanical and production challenges

Responsibilities

  • Understand the manufacturing process as it relates to equipment start-up and operations
  • Supervise minor routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment and ensure root cause corrections and participate in performance of these processes
  • Monitor, maintain and improve key performance indicators daily
  • Lead training effort of new employees as it relates to production, operation, lockout-tag out, forklift, and other business needs
  • Accurately track and enter production data into the Work Order system and verify shift production matches the induction report
  • Direct daily shift production of assigned departments and ensure all product meets quality specifications
  • Accurately complete all administrative paperwork
  • Achieve business goals in areas like safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Assist with performance reviews, plus other supervisory activities
  • Lead tool box meetings daily
  • Support all company policies and procedures
  • Execute coaching and corrective discipline
  • Ensure compliance of direct reports to all policies and procedures of The HC Companies.
  • Lead by example and perform all job duties in accordance with Growscape values
  • Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
