About The Position

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of production team members during a 12-hour shift, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires effective leadership, adherence to company policies, and continuous improvement in production processes.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a college or university; and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
Excellent ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Excellent ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates.
Excellent ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC skills.
Above-average problem-solving skills to resolve disputes.
Above-average ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and maintain constant mobility.
Ability to move within and between departments.

Responsibilities

Assure a safe working environment for all employees.
Plan work for the shift operation and assign work to production operators.
Assist in the selection and hiring process for new employees.
Train and onboard new employees.
Monitor quality, productivity, and scrap rates.
Manage machine downtime and coordinate repairs.
Administer company policies and procedures.
Review of timecards and PTO for payroll, for given shift.
Provide leadership and set an example regarding safety, quality, and efficiency.
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
Interpret company policies for workers and enforce safety regulations.
Analyze and resolve work problems, settle disputes, and assist workers in problem-solving.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
Communicate directly and honestly with employees.
Maintain floor cleanliness standards.
