Job Summary: The Production Supervisor coordinates and supervises activities of workers engaged in fabricating, assembling, modifying, or repairing parts, assemblies, tooling and related items used in aluminum alloy manufacturing.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in lead role
  • 1-2 years of High School or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • 3+ month’s related manufacturing/production experience.
  • Pass Written and Practical Test
  • Be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Be able to communicate with others with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Have the ability to assist and lead others.
  • Handle multiple projects and priorities and perform well under pressure
  • Mathematical Skills – Intermediate
  • Must speak, read and write in English.
  • Computer skills (Windows, Excel, Word, and Email)
  • Must be willing to work 1st & 2nd Shift
  • Diplomatic and professional when communicating with others

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma, GED or higher level education.
  • Have knowledge of forged parts/fixtures a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and assigns tasks to workers throughout the day ensuring production schedule is followed.
  • Ensure operating efficiencies are met and production remains on schedule.
  • Assures quality and production requirement are met, as per job-specific travelers.
  • Works with Press Lead to share information regarding job priorities daily.
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Writes accident reports and leads RCCA based accident investigations and appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform regular production job functions (grinder, deburrer, saw, etch, etc.) as needed.
  • Analyzes work orders and other specifications.
  • Coordinates projects between management and workers.
  • Assure correct labor reporting and product counts.
  • Responsible for training employees in the operation of production machines, tools and equipment.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the APP leadership.
