About The Position

The Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor. This role partners closely with management to identify improvement opportunities and execute plans that support long‑term operational excellence while meeting customer demand. The Supervisor is accountable for daily performance in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost . Leadership & Daily Operations Lead, motivate, and manage day‑to‑day activities of production staff and operations. Schedule and direct the daily work of Set‑up Coordinators, Production Operators, Production/Quality Coordinators, and Material Handlers. Collaborate with the Planner and Inside Sales/Value Stream team to build a production schedule aligned with equipment capabilities and labor resources. Partner with indirect support teams to maintain production flow and meet daily requirements. Performance & Compliance Review production jobs to ensure performance meets standards for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Audit direct reports for accuracy in job transactions and to ensure work output meets expectations. Report daily shift metrics and contribute to production summaries. Ensure product quality by maintaining and enforcing company standards. Identify and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives at the shop‑floor level. Conduct annual performance reviews that are accurate, timely, and constructive. Enforce production floor rules, including safety and dress code. Safety & Incident Management Identify and address safety concerns promptly. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for safety incidents, near misses, and process deviations. Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure the facility is “tour ready” at all times using the PEEP method (Place for Everything, Everything has a Place). People Management Serve as the first level of response to personnel issues by evaluating situations, determining causes, and recommending action plans. Support employee engagement and help foster a strong, positive culture. Other Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior leadership experience in an injection molding environment required.
  • Strong transformational leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching and developing teams.

  • Role involves routine physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, reaching, climbing, and balancing, performed in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Exposure to airborne particulates and occasional outdoor conditions may occur; compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements is required.
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection may occur.
  • Must be able to safely lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
