About The Position

Production Supervisor Our Round Rock Curtiss Wright site is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team! Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supervising production personnel, coordinating directly with Production Control on schedule issues, with Manufacturing Engineering on technical issues, and with Quality Assurance on quality issues to meet the cost, quality, and delivery objectives of the Production Department. You will be a key driver in monitoring performance levels to ensure production schedules are met, procedures are followed and quality standards are implemented. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 5-7 years of related manufacturing experience
  • Supervisor or Lead experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient SyteLine or other ERP.
  • Strong experience in mentoring, coaching, training teams
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
  • Physical requirements may include lifting to 50 pounds
  • Lives the “continuous improvement” philosophy; develops and adopts new ideas and concepts

Responsibilities

  • Monitors associate performance, prepares performance reviews, and handles disciplinary issues
  • Assigns work in accordance with production schedules
  • Directs the activities of production lead associates
  • Directs the fabrication of prototypes, tooling, jigs, and fixtures in support of Manufacturing Engineer
  • Implements preventive maintenance and safety programs in support of the Facilities Manager
  • Reviews and approves all personnel activities for the production group
  • Plans and implements training programs for all production personnel and keeps records of training
  • Enforces safety and quality programs within production
  • Directs the activities of the metrology lead associate
