About The Position

Plan and schedule shift rosters to meet production needs, including coverage for vacations and absence Review and approve employee hours and time-off requests Supervise daily blow molding operations and ensure production targets are met Lead, coach, and develop a team of 12–20 employees across 2nd shift Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Maintenance to reduce downtime Enforce safety procedures, conduct safety audits, and participate in incident investigations Ensure compliance with quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, etc.) Manage labor and material usage to control costs and reduce waste Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and operational logs Support onboarding, training, and performance evaluations for production staff Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support plant-wide goals

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong understanding of material flow, tooling, and job changeovers
  • Hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, and industrial controls
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a high-volume environment
  • Familiarity with safety regulations, lean manufacturing, and quality systems
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skill
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with production tracking software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, etc.)
  • Ability to build a positive, high-performing team culture

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plastics or molding preferred
