About The Position

ATI is seeking a Night Shift Production Supervisor to join their Huntsville, Alabama team. This role typically involves working from 8:00 pm – 6:00 am Mon-Thur. with occasional overtime. The Production Supervisor is crucial for ensuring optimal throughput and production efficiencies by developing effective processes and equipment utilization strategies that meet production goals and objectives, and for producing quality product that meets customer requirements and ATI goals. The supervisor is responsible for leading a team of 20-25 direct reports with diverse personalities, acting as a bridge between night shift and day shift to ensure accurate information transfer and prevent production lags. Additionally, the Production Supervisor is responsible for training, coaching, motivating, and leading the production workforce to ensure safe and efficient operation of the production areas. To become successful and provide immediate impact, the individual must quickly learn ATI’s processes & products and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, engineering, quality, and safety. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, the ability to act quickly and make impactful decisions, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

Requirements

• At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience in a production, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Experience in 5S, lean, or continuous improvement practices.
• Safety first mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree in Business or similar field.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Production Technicians.
• Assist in a variety of responsibilities including interpretation of company policies and the enforcement of departmental plant rules and regulations.
• Make adjustments on work priorities to meet Production schedules.
• Inspect product and verify conformance and direct setup or adjustments of machines.
• Train Technicians on equipment.
• Makes recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Analyze and resolve work problems.
