About The Position

Ford Motor Company is seeking Production Supervisors, referred to as “Process Coach – MP&L,” to drive standardization and continuous improvement within the Ford Production System. Material Planning & Logistics teams are responsible for ensuring a synchronous flow of materials to customers at an affordable cost. This role involves supervising and leading on-the-job training, development, and career progression for an hourly team. Production Supervisors are expected to be resilient, detail-oriented, ambitious, and demonstrate high integrity.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of supervisory and/or manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations
• Demonstrated communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Safety and quality experience
• Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
• Knowledge of constraint management principles
• Prior experience managing a unionized workforce

Responsibilities

• Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts
• Drive to exceed personal, team, and company goals by holding self & team to high performance standards through servant leadership
• Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams
• Foster a commitment to continuous improvement, while applying innovative solutions with a customer-first mindset
• Create a culture of safety and apply and implement workplace policies
• Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively
