About The Position

Production Supervisor -Off Shift Key Accountabilities: Supports, promotes and adheres to all Company Safety policies and initiatives with team. Coordinate material flow with other departments and logistics Provides guidance, direction and monitor performance to medium sized groups (15 – 45) of hourly employees. Maintain time and production records for all direct reports Keep management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems and recommend plans and solutions Assign and monitor work of hourly employees Diagnose equipment malfunctions (or "assist" in) Respond to customer concerns Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates, outputs and worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments Interpret company policy to workers and enforce safety regulations while complying with terms of MTU and regulatory policies Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency and quality of shop, department or work crew Implement good housekeeping practices, 5S and understanding of our MTU Production System (MPS) Provide training to personnel as specified in the departmental training matrix, safety guidelines and MPS Identifies and reduces non-value-added work Assist in, support and drive continuous improvement culture in all areas of responsibility Fill in for other supervisors as necessary Ability to make decisions and support with documentation and facts Perform special projects as required and prescribed by upper management Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Global Code of Conduct Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in operations management or equivalent and 3 years’ hourly supervision or manufacturing experience; or 7 years hourly supervision or manufacturing experience Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours This position has a compressed work schedule (Monday through Thursday 10 hours per day). Also, routine overtime is expected as business needs require. This is an off-shift position and hour range is still to be determined from 7:30 pm to 6:00 am.
