This Position reports to: Production Manager Your role and responsibilities: As Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift, you will head a team in ABB’s Motion Drive Products Division in New Berlin, WI. The Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift, ensures continuous and efficient production operations in line with plans, procedures, quality, and safety standards and policies. You will also be responsible for improving safety, quality, productivity, and overall performance. This is a second shift role. Second shift is from 2:45 p.m. – 11:15 p.m. Monday – Friday. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate degree and 4+ years of related experience OR High School/GED and 6+ years of related experience required.
  • Ability to work on 2nd Shift: 2:45 P.M. to 11:15 P.M. Monday – Friday.
  • Candidate must be able to supervise employees while achieving daily production goals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Attention to detail, time efficiency, and utilization of manpower.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with basic knowledge of assembly processes.
  • Previous formal leadership experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of an ERP system, SAP Highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all EHS policies, procedures, and behaviors.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and training to team members.
  • Operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Create high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relations matters.
  • Work with other departments, supervisors, and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals.
  • Enforce policies fairly and consistently.
  • Perform yearly performance appraisals.
  • Provide timely management reporting.
  • Ensure SAP inventory transactions are done per work instructions to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee on-the-job training and promote cross-training.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and group discussions.
