Base pay offered may vary depending on job-realted knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits. JOB SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading and motivating the production team to achieve and exceed established goals. Coordinates, oversees, and directs daily production activities to ensure operational efficiency, adherence to safety protocols, and the consistent production of high-quality products.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree or equivalent and applicable work-related experience.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role with a strong background in Production floor supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment as well as independently lead initiatives.
  • Proven strong problem-solving capabilities, results-oriented approach, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer programs and systems including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JDE, and Teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information accurately and professionally across diverse cultural backgrounds, including English as a second language, and at all organizational levels.
  • Flexible availability to work any shift as required, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work at heights (up to 4 stories high)
  • Able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple time per shift.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed shoes/boots, gloves, and bump cap.
  • Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for 12 or more hours per shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Blown Film Industry.
  • Previous experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team of 20 to 30 hourly employees.
  • Proactively lead and engage in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S, and lean manufacturing initiatives, ensuring departmental goals are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure adherence to and execution of all company regulations, policies, and programs in compliance with Amcor, local, state, and federal requirements, including Environmental Health & Safety, Quality, and Human Resources standards.
  • Ensure company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are effectively implemented, understood, and followed across the department.
  • Maintain compliance with established customer quality and production standards.
  • Address and resolve mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues within the department promptly.
  • Oversee the timely completion of all required documentation, schedules, work orders, and related records.
  • Sustain and enhance production throughput while collaborating with the Production Manager to control direct labor costs.
  • Plan and manage production performance by setting and monitoring operating targets based on machine capabilities, workforce capacity, and projected business needs.
  • Train, motivate, and mentor employees to foster a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Support on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
