This position is responsible for overall supervision and productivity of manufacturing extrusions while fostering a work environment that supports safety, quality, productivity, teamwork, training and development, and the overall Reschcor culture and core values
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor degree preferred
- 5-7 years of manufacturing supervisory and leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams
- Proficient with arithmetic, algebra, statistical calculations, and metrology including rulers, tape measures, and calipers
- Ability to problem solve and multi-task
- Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to interact within all levels of the organization
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel as the ability to work with the ERP system (IQMS)
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documents
- Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift on a 3-2-2 schedule is required
Nice To Haves
- Experience in plastics is preferred but not required
- Lean manufacturing or six sigma experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Ensures effective employee relations and provides employee coaching and development
- Makes employment decisions and works through employee issues following proper management and Human Resources department protocols
- Complete performance reviews in a timely fashion
- Actively participates in the hiring process while mentoring/developing team members
- Balances safety, quality, productivity, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
- Support and maintain continuous improvements
- Assists with achieving daily production requirements and accurately reporting these results
- Participates in and actively supports the facility safety systems
- Understands and utilizes the Quality Management system
- Assists with troubleshooting machinery/equipment
- Responsible for executing training plans to grow and develop team members
- Responsible for managing accurate time and attendance records and time off requests
- Responsible for disciplinary actions
- Responsible for daily production reporting
- Appropriately manage and utilize available labor to maximize machine utilization
- Follow up on production and quality issues with direction of Production Manager and Quality Manager
- Supervisors will need to enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
