Requirements

  • Experience in food production or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment.
  • Strong math and reasoning skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours and days.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HACCP and GMP principles.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all elements of Food Safety within the plant and notify the manager of any issues.
  • Be trained in HACCP and understand the CCP for their given line.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with GMP principles.
  • Oversee the production of products safely while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure all lines operate within the required production standards.
  • Know how to properly use all equipment within their area and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all training for employees on their shift is completed satisfactorily.
  • Manage labor to ensure departments operate with the correct number of scheduled people.
  • Ensure accuracy of production reporting and submit reports to the data entry department.
  • Fill out accident or incident reports and submit them to the production manager.
  • Issue reprimands to employees who fail to abide by Company guidelines.
  • Assist in line cleanup and inspection operations.
  • Share discrepancies with the Quality Management System to the supervisor or quality manager.
