About The Position

The Production Supervisor for the Paint Department on the 3rd shift is responsible for supervising production workers and ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role involves direct supervision of production workers, assigning tasks within work cells, and following through on assignments to completion. The supervisor will communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production goals, manage costs within budget parameters, and maximize efficiency to avoid overtime. Additionally, the supervisor will manage safety efforts within the assigned work group and administer company policies while developing employees for success in their current and future assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field preferred
  • Formal training in safety concepts in a heavy mechanical environment
  • Leadership development training
  • 3-5 years experience in railroad services and/or railroad mechanical operations preferred
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience
  • Experience managing safety programs in a heavy mechanical environment
