About The Position

The Production Supervisor (Nights) position at Pactiv Evergreen involves managing, directing, and coordinating all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality. The role typically supervises 25-50 employees and requires coordination with the Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved. The supervisor will carry out responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for ensuring all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis, supporting and improving upon quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals, and ensuring safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly, and revised as necessary.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in group situations
  • Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature & consistent manner
  • Good computer skills
  • SAP experience preferred
