About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for our manufacturing/warehouse facility in Tolleson, AZ to provide direction to team members in a manner that inspires and motivates others to achieve high individual and team performance results. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Management, Psychology, Business, or related discipline or minimum 5 years equivalent managerial/leadership experience.
  • Must sincerely care for others and be a servant leader.
  • Possess visionary skills with demonstrated experience and success with leading change.
  • Exceptional interpersonal effectiveness, communication, people problem solving, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong strategic analytical and planning skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to work with others at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Bilingual/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Safety Huddles before each shift.
  • Perform FLL walk through and check list before Safety Huddle.
  • Ensure monthly Safety Training and track NM/OB reporting effectiveness.
  • Achieve a goal of 90% completion rate for direct reports.
  • Daily tracking and interaction with employees not participating in safety protocols.
  • Notify PM, EHS, and Dept. Manager of Recordable safety incidents.
  • Enter GDC reporting and start investigations for incidents.
  • Manage labor per machine cell and communicate needs.
  • Issue disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Administer Kronos for vacation, OT scheduling, and attendance.
  • Track and follow up on employee training.
  • Communicate mechanical/tooling issues to technical groups.
  • Enforce priorities and make necessary adjustments.
  • Notify technical resources for machine downtime and follow up accordingly.
  • Facilitate shift handoff communication with incoming Supervisor and affected departments.
  • Promote a safe workplace and ensure team members understand their responsibilities.
  • Assist in sourcing, onboarding, retaining, and training team members.
  • Provide direction and coaching to employees.
  • Assess team member performance and provide feedback.
  • Resolve conflicts and help others learn conflict resolution methods.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, acceptance, and inclusion.
  • Pursue personal growth and expand knowledge of the broader Amcor business.
  • Complete other responsibilities as necessary to ensure success.
