About The Position

Join our dynamic, high-tech production team in Marshalltown, Iowa! As a hands-on leader, you'll oversee the daily activities of our Logistics and Assembly in the manufacturing of large, custom-designed control valves. Requirements

  • Earned a High School Diploma or above, complemented by 3 years of proven leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, showcasing expertise in production processes and operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills; including being disciplined, assertive, and having a high energy level to meet safety and department performance goals
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Nice To Haves

  • A technology-based Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong Logistic experience, including both Shipping and Receiving.
  • Ability to teach crating/boxing skills and proven track record to drive process improvement
  • Experience supervising paint operations, including coordination of schedules, quality standards, safety compliance, and cross-functional alignment with assembly and logistics teams.
  • Strong Assembly experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) as well as MS Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong safety culture and a safe work environment. Responsible for completing safety audits, daily safety start-ups, inspections, and generating ideas to improve safety.
  • Plan and direct daily work activities to dynamically lead Logistic/Assembly resources to obtain daily goals.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce non-conformances, improve cost, and reduce manufacturing process time.
  • Complete individual and operation-based quality audits to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop cross training plans to improve Logistics/Assembly performance and increase flexibility and throughput.
  • Improve employee performance through formal and informal performance reviews, job training, and the sharing of ideas to improve department performance.
  • Participate in the development of capital plans and support the implementation of new technology to improve manufacturing processes and reduce non-conformances.
  • Support the development and implementation of industry’s best practices in areas such as 5S+1, TPM, Kaizen events, and implement cost reductions to improve performance.
  • Maintain department records, such as hours worked, overtime hours, cross-training, productivity, quality, etc. Consistently administer the labor agreement and lead efforts to improve performance.
